Comments on the combination of respiratory protective devices with protective clothing

A combination of a full-body protective suit and breathing/respiratory protection apparatus must not only supply the breathing air, but also protect the body of the wearer (DGUV Regel 112-189 (to date: BGR 189)) governing the use of protective clothing, April 1994, current version October 2007, Sections 4.3.7, 4.3.9.1 and 4.3.9.3 at www.dguv.de/fb-psa, in German).
