For more than 40 years, the Testing and Certification Bodies in DGUV Test have been testing products on the basis of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG) as well as on the basis of the EC-directives and other safety and health requirements. Depending on the product and in some cases on the wish of the manufacturer, the issued certificate can be one of the following:
-
GS-Test certificate (GS)
The product is subject to the German Product Safety Act and has the permission to be marked with the GS mark.
-
EC-Type Examination Certificate (EG)
The product is subject to an EC-directive that intends an EC-type examination for this product. Together with this certificate no label is going to be issued.
-
DGUV Test Certificate (DT)
For products that have been tested and certified by one of the DGUV Test Testing and Certification Bodies, a DGUV Test certificate can be issued, which authorizes the affixing of the DGUV Test mark.
If a DGUV Test mark is required in addition to an EU/EC-type examination certificate, an approval to affix the mark can usually be issued.
-
DGUV test symbol for a special aspect
DTmZ: Only the special aspect was tested and certified.
DTmZmS: A type-examination was carried out. Additionally, the special aspect has been tested and certified. A DGUV test mark can contain a maximum of two aspects.
-
Type Examination Certificate (BM)
The product is subject to an EC-directive but there is no EC-type examination intended for this product. Together with this test certificate no label is going to be issued.
-
Marking Permission (ZG)
Supplementary to an EC-type test certificate or a type test certificate. Together with this permission the DGUV Test label is issued
-
Quality Management System (QS)
The certification of Quality Management Systems takes place according to the international standards ISO 9001 or to the requirements of the European directives.
