IGAcheck for work-related requirements, exposures and hazards

Project No. BGAG 484009

Status:

completed 09/2009

Aims:

IGAcheck, published in 2004 in the form of IGA Report 4, has been requested and downloaded from the IGA website numerous times. Feedback has shown however that a number of problems have been encountered during application of the instrument in practice. This situation has necessitated a revision.

Activities/Methods:

A random survey of various user groups revealed the need for an instrument which covers a broad spectrum of use, for example risk evaluation, the re-integration of employees with reduced performance, analysis of the effects of stresses and strains, and in-plant and sector-wide systematic task-specific documentation for the focused prevention of work-related health hazards.

Results:

The instrument will be offered in two versions: a short version and a detailed software version. Publication of both versions on the IGA website is planned for April 2009 and in the IGA-Report 19.
